Big thanks to everyone testing the crashing in version 4.00 and helping me figure it out. The problem was with the inventory chest in battle, being replaced with a flag mesh, from Firearms mod -- I guess that was causing problems.

Fixed random crashing in battle (not 100% sure yet).
-Made it possible to equip NPC heroes instead of trading with them, adjusted their random equipping script to not give them always such good items, since you can take them freely.
-Added some new items, better thrown knives and daggers, fantastic weapons with low requirements but huge cost, look in secret chests for chace to find one.
-Fine-tuned Illumination Age random equipping script to produce more uniformed troops and higher frequency of gunpowder weapons.
-Adjusted script that makes factions declare war, in Native it looks like it is set to 0.5%-1.5% chance, increased to 5%-15% chance to start a new war.
-Slightly increased blood falling speed.
-Slightly increased firearm smoke duration.
-Removed random equipment of lords and kings, fallen ones, and fearsome warriors -- not worth the trouble.
-Made events of Rhodok uprising and Bear Clan invasion take place a few days sooner.

New features:
-Many, many new items. Adjusted equipment of many troops.
-All NPCs but Rolf, about 25 total, have a randomly chosen equipment set, different every time you start a new game.
-All Kings and Lords are now much better fighters, and get a different equipment set every game.
-Zendar chest and secret chests have random items placed in them, different every time you start a new game.
-Fallen Ones, Perished Ones, Fearsome and Legendary warriors have random equipment sets every time you start a new game. How hard to fight, or how useful in battle they will be -- different every game.
-Immortality quest made more elaborate, but slightly less difficult, you do not have to be a spirit to complete it.
-When you move into Age of Illumination, all troops and factions become equipped in a new way every game, and you are to discover which are now dangerous to fight and useful to have, and which aren't worth training.
-There is now a shortcut to completing the immortality quest, you get a clue about it once you complete the quest first time, for a new character to be able to quickly move into Age of Illumination without replaying the first part.
-More troop types avalible for mercenary hire in taverns.

Balance changes:
-NPCs no longer give up their equipment for free.
-increased upkeep cost of troops.
-increased prices of goods, helps merchants.
-increased prices of food.
-added Rhodok troops.
-improved Caravan Guards and Mercenaries slightly.
-reduced Leadership effect of reducing wages (maximum reduction with 10 Leadership is now 50% instead of 80%).
-increased loot probability.
-slightly reduced damage stopping power of armor, makes heavy armor less of an advantage.
-slightly reduced rate of troop experience gain.
-slightly increased titan bow damage.
-slighty reduced great battle bow speed.
-increased reach and damage of Khergit Prince's scimitar.
-made training attributes at Zendar require all three trophies instead of only battle trophy.
-lowered level requirement for hiring fearsome warriors from 15 to 5, made it require a war trophy.
-increased frequency of epic and war trophies in loot.
-reduced hitpoints of all troops by 1-7, more for higher tier.
-increased difficulty of arena fights.
-reduced ironflesh skill of Swadian troops by 3-4 points.
-increased weapon proficiency of Nord troops by 20-30 points.
-Saracen troops now are tied together in a tree.
-removed no-player-death option, since it is now much more important to storyline, the game is slightly different every time, and there are means of avoiding death with charms.

-added Eisenhouwer's Cries of War soundpack.
-added Luigi's new items.
-added some of Zaro's new textures.
-added punkt's map textures.
-added NCrawler's variable prisoner cost.
-added Seff's fixed siege scenes.
-added many of MAXHARDMAN's steel textures.
-added NPC's from Band of Warriors, heavily modified.

Added a 'main quest' of obtaining immortality, not very dialogue-heavy yet, but about as complete as I want it, should give a good goal to work toward. How exactly to do that, I'll let you guys figure out, there should be clues in NPC dialogue (untested! let me know if there aren't any clues If you are playing without player death, 'immortality' will mean no wounds at all.
Made it so you have to buy items from NPCs instead of taking them for free.
Added female troop line.
Fixed River Pirate/Bear Clan Scouts quest dialogue.
Added Saracen troops.
Replaced Rainmaker tribesmen.
Elite faction units now do not come from every troop tree branch.
Increased level of elite faction units, slightly reduced hitpoints.
Added about 60 new items, adjusted many troop's equipment, some items stats adjustments.
Increased Charisma bonus to party size to 2 instead of 1.
Increased Leadership bonus to party size to 6 instead of 3.
Increased strength, agility, and charisma of all characters by one.
Increased Manhunter's prisoner management and tracking to seven.
Gave Manhunter a horse to start.
Added more faction parties - patrols, foragers, prisoner trains, messangers.
Made it so that most of the new parties will spawn in random places on the map, gradually - not all together in specified clusters. Should make playing a bit more interesting, and discourage farming of a particular party.
Added two new crossbows - one small repeating to fire from horseback, one heavy repeating (2 shots).
Increased reach of Knight's starting lance.
Onyx Destroyers now always wear helmets.
Added more items to Zendar chest and secret chests.
Made it so that you cannot die or receive wounds if you are already dead.
After you die, wearing the spirit mask will significantly slow down the loss of strength (untested! please let me know if doesnt work).
After you die, wearing the spirit mask will cause fallen and perished ones to join you (untested! please let me know if doesnt work).
After you die, when your strength wanes to zero, you disappear from the map (untested! please let me know if doesnt work).

Doubled the damage of all crossbows, they were far too weak.
Fixed Swadian Engineer proficiency bonus, now polearms instead of bows.

You suffer a deep cut on your arm. (-1 strength)

Suffering the same wound before your first one has healed will make one permanent. For example if you get broken arm, and one week later, before it heals, broken arm again -- when they heal you will recover the penalties of only one, the others will stay permanent.

Upon death you now get +10 strength, attributes still deteriorate day by day.
Reduced armor value of Spirit Mask, increased strength requirement.
Slightly reduced renown of Horse Tamer and Castle Guard characters.

The Journal is no longer required to hire character-specific troops.
Added four new starting characters, some adjustmets to existing ones.
Added four new troops to be hired by new starting characters.
Added five new elite faction troops that are much tougher than the rest.
Removed stats and experience penalty on death, chance of death is 20% instead of 25%.
After death your spirit will weaken day by day, strength and agility will slowly deteriorate to zero.
Chance of wound/death/recovery on knockout is modified by charisma and ironflesh only now.
Wounds will heal with time, a month by default, reduced by one day for every point in healing skills.

Character death scheme:

when knocked out in battle, you lose experience based on level, as it is now.
then, as you lie of the battlefield, one of four things can happen:

you will recover completely (30% chance)
you recover but carry a battle wound (lose 1 strength) (10% chance)
you recover but carry a serious wound (lose 1 strength and 1 agility) (10% chance)
you perish (50% chance)

Chance of death is modified by skills and stats:
Every point in Ironflesh, First Aid, Wound Treatment, Surgery reduces chance of death by 1% and increases chance of complete recovery by +1%.
Every point in Charisma above 10 reduces chance of death by 1% and increases chance of complete recovery by +1%. (represents your luck)
If Charisma is less than 10, you have bad luck and chance of death is increased by 1% per lacking Charisma point.

In addition, chance of death is modified by charms that you might have. Charms are 'bought' with trophies, life charm for three trophies, one of each. Death Ward for three trophies, one of each and 3000 gold.
Life charm reduces chance of death by 5% and increases chance of complete recovery by +5%.
Death Ward reduces chance of death by 30% and increases chance of complete recovery by +30%, but disappears once used.
Multiple charms of the same kind do not stack.
To have an effect the charms must be carried on you, however as any other items they can be lost when you are taken prisoner. Therefore it is wise to have more than one, or store some in a chest. Charms will also be used to trade for very special items, later.

If you die, a window with your character name, level, attributes, gold carried, and number of kills will display. If you'd like, you record or take a screenshot to paste in the Adventures scores thread.

Separately from this, upon receiving a knockout blow you have a 2% chance of being killed instantly. This never goes away but can be reduced to 1% with a Life charm, and eliminated if you carry a Death Ward.

Training for high-level characters:
Once you reach level 15, you can pay the Zendar trainer 15,000 gold to increase any of the four attributes by one.
Once you reach level 20, you can pay the Zendar trainer 10,000 gold to get 10,000 experience.

Gambling with Trophies:
Instead of trading in for experience, or selling, you can exchange your trophies for a random item. You could get a Tattered Felt Hat for your collection, or a Spirited Armored Great Warhorse

Active Kill Counter:
When in combat, the game will count and display the number of enemies you killed in each new battle. For every kill you get +1 weapon proficiency point to spend as you like.

Combat Abilities:

Berserk Rage (15 strength required, press J)
In battle, every three minutes you can enter a raging state, giving you
+5 power strike
+5 power throw
+5 power draw
+5 ironflesh
+20 strength
+5 agility

Sprint (15 agility required, press K)

Combat Focus (15 intelligence required, press H)
In battle, every three minutes you can achieve complete focus on your weapon skills, giving you
+[10 times your intelligence level] proficiency in all weapons

This lasts for [twice your intelligence level] seconds and costs 50 experience per character level.
After it is over your skills and attributes return to normal.

The duration of special ability is increased if you carry an Endurance Charm, also traded from Ramun for three trophies, one of each kind.

For now, removed mod files needed to play without player death completely. With new scheme, they need to be changed.

角色死亡模式
---------------
在战场上被击倒后仍然会根据等级损失一定的经验,之后还会有四种可能性发生:


痊愈             30%的可能性
获救但是受伤(损失1点力量)           10%的可能性
获救但受重伤(损失1点力量和1点敏捷)              10%的可能性
立即死亡                              50%的可能性

不过别担心,死亡的几率取决你的技能和状态:
铁骨,急救,疗伤,手术这四个技能每升一级,死亡的几率就下降1%,同时痊愈的可能性也上升1%

魅力数值超过10以后,每一点都会减少1%的死亡几率和增加1%的痊愈几率(看人品的...)

如果魅力值小于10,恭喜你,你倒霉了。如你的魅力与10差X点,,你的完全死亡几率就会上升X%

顺带一提,死亡几率同时与你携带的饰物有关。如果你带着胜利之证(trophies)的话,可以用三个胜利之证换取一个生命护符,同时三个生命之证+3000金币(应该就是第纳尔)则可以换取一份替身护符。

生命护符可以减少5%的死亡几率,并增加5%的痊愈几率。

替身护符可以减少30%的死亡几率,并增加30%的痊愈几率。但是每个只能使用一次,之后就会消失。

相同的护符效果不会叠加。

只有你携带在行囊中的护符才会产生作用,不过它们和其他装备一样,在你被俘虏的时候很可能会被夺取,所以我建议你每种多准备几个,并且把多余的存在箱子里。在之后的版本里,护符将也可以用来交易非常特别的物品。


当你死亡时,屏幕上会出现一个包括你的角色姓名,等级,属性,财产以及杀敌人数的窗口。如果你愿意的话可以截上一张图,贴到冒险者的英灵堂里,呵呵。(估计是在官网上)

除此之外,当你被击倒时,有2%的可能性立即死亡....这个可能性不会受技能影响而消失,但是你可以通过携带一份生命护符把可能性降低到1%,或者使用替身护符完全避免这个可能性。

胜利之证的赌博系统:

在战斗中,你的你每一场战斗的杀敌数都会得到统计并显示出来,每杀一个敌人你会得到一点武器熟练度作为奖励。

玩了一下

一些本來沒騎馬的部隊騎上馬了
小兵走路速度超快
打人還是一樣痛

多了很多數值超高的神兵
但是很多都要str30以上才能裝
而且動不動就要好幾萬才能買
馬的血都提高了,有些馬注重操控,有些注重速度

對了,小兵血多很多,幾乎都接近100...

这个MOD确实是不错的,骑兵被大幅削弱了,步兵能够更好的抗衡重骑兵部队,仅这一点就值得赞赏

现在很多MOD的骑兵太容易得到了,这也是不对的地方。
如果只是为了所谓的“平衡”,那ak7452m发物理贴就是没事找事做了。
骑兵是应该在原来的基础上削弱,但不是这样的削弱法

骑兵本来就该强大,好歹也是一人一马,又有马镫,凭啥加起来还打不过一个人?

中世纪历史上骑士被过分渲染得nb了,这个是出于宗教和政治、阶级的因素

我觉得这个mod的好处就在于,好控制的马都不强壮,强壮的马都不好控制,这个限制因素就足够让仅限于长枪的人改变策略、多动脑了

还有一点就是不能满地图都是骑兵,应该少的,但只要有小规模的骑兵,往往可以多少改变一下战场的态势

这倒没感觉,我个人观察是骑兵把长杆武器放平后就会试图用冲刺,但是慢下来就用普通攻击方式.

熟练度高的时候,放平的速度快多了. 长枪冲刺的几率的确就增加了.

可是敵人好像拿不到數值超高的武器吧…
但是敵人血厚加跑超快還是很可怕…
被圍大概逃都逃不掉…

不過步兵跑速加快+騎兵增多+小兵血爆多=弓箭實用性降低
因為沒有攻擊力四五十的弓和箭…

稍微增加部队速度
Reticule回来了,可以对付快速移动的目标
稍微增加弓箭伤害,以平衡高生命值
商店增加特殊的弓、箭
稍微增加马的操控性

version 2.61
Fixed troop speed, now only slightly faster than 2.1 troops
Reticule is back, hard enough to hit fast moving targets
Increased arrow damage slightly, to compensate for higher hitpoints
Added exceptional bows and arrows for sale
Increased maneuvrability of horses slightly
