This is a small map pack in the form of a mod. You don't need to tamper with any files, simply unpack it into your Modules folder, start warband with the OPEN_FIELDS mod, go to multiplayer and search for the server called OPEN_FIELDS. The server will be running these maps for you to try out. Bear in mind that the server is based in EU.
Please try it out and tell me how you like it. More info in the Repository, or just ask me.

Latest update is version 0.9, This adds one new high-quality map for your enjoyment. It is based on the battle of Termophylae as depicted in the movie 300. There are some screens further down in the thread, check it out! Some bugfixes to the other maps have been made, and now several maps are ready to play in other gamemodes like Fight&Destroy, Capture the Flag, and Deathmatches! Have fun!

Latest update is version 0.7b, wich fixes a few bugs. Try out the new maps, such as Hastings 1066, that features a nice big hill, dense forests and a large flat landscape perfect for cavalry. Also check out the new Random Desert map that will generate unique desert terrain for each game.

This file contains a few new multiplayer maps. Other than that it is not different from Native.
It is packed as a self contained mod and needs no tampering with your Native files. Simply unpack it into your Modules directory and play it like any other mod.
To play the new maps, I have set up a server that will be running them so that you can try them out. The server is called like the mod: OPEN_FIELDS. So search for it. Then please let me know what you think of the maps, your likes and dislikes and if you have any ideas about maps that I could put in there.

The first release contains four maps. They are all simple outdoors environments with a twist, there is a number of strategic points placed around. These range from simple fences to moats and small fortresses. The idea is to keep an open environment that is good for horses, while providing several small fortified positions that can be used by infantry. Hopefully they will inspire teamwork, as it will take an effort to dislodge infantry once they are dug in.

Anyway, all maps are very early stage work, and they currently only support Battle game mode.

If you are making maps for multiplayer and are looking for a map-pack to put them in, as well as a server to play them on, I'd be happy to help. Also if you have a mod and like any of my maps well enough to want to include them, that can surely be arranged.

最新的0.7b版修正了一些bug。试试新地图，比如黑斯廷1066（诺曼征服的决定性战役），里面有一座山、可供防御的树林以及适合骑兵行动的大平原。还有新的沙漠随机地图，每次战役都会生成独特的沙漠地形。
